What Fencing Equipment Do I need to bring?
All fencers should come in full competitive kit - underplastron, chest protector (for girls/women), jacket, glove, mask and breeches as well as weapons/bodywires. All equipment thatis not being worn should be in a bag that can be zipped shut. Bags should remain zipped shut while unattended.
Do I need to wear a face mask?
All fencers must arrive and leave wearing a face mask. Face masks must be worn at all times between fights. There is no requirement to wear face coverings or liners during sparring or lessons but fencers may choose to do so as a courtesy to others.
How long do the sessions last?
At this time, the session will be one hour long.
What are the procedures for dropping off / Collecting?
Please follow the rules of the centre and the instructions of the staff when arriving and leaving.
WHat Procedures are you putting into place to keep Fencers safe?
We are following the guidelines issued by British Fencing -
Hand Santisers will be available by the entrance and by each set of scoring equipment and must be used by all on entering the hall and leaving. There will be no sharing of personal equipment. Fencers are requested to wear a face mask when not fencing or training. Can parents come in and watch?
At the request of the management, there will be no admittance to spectators during the sesssion.
